cedar-backup2 software package provides local and remote backups to CD or DVD media, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cedar-backup2
cedar-backup2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cedar-backup2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cedar-backup2 *
You will get with cedar-backup2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
